We're partnering with a leading resources company seeking an experienced
Sourcing Specialist
to join their procurement and contracts team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This is a great opportunity to work within a high-performing commercial function, supporting key sourcing activities that drive operational efficiency, value, and compliance.
About the Role
Reporting to the Procurement & Contracts Superintendent, this position plays an integral role in managing end-to-end sourcing processes across a range of projects. You'll develop and implement procurement strategies, engage with stakeholders and suppliers, and ensure contracts are commercially sound and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full sourcing process for non-strategic projects, from strategy through to execution
Develop and deliver procurement and contracting strategies to achieve cost and performance targets
Prepare and manage bid documentation, evaluate tenders, and lead commercial negotiations
Draft, review, and recommend contract terms to ensure robust commercial outcomes
Conduct contract audits and reporting to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
About You
Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement or contracts management, ideally within mining, energy, or heavy industry
Strong commercial acumen with a focus on value creation and risk mitigation
Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
High level of computer literacy with experience using SAP and MS Office Suite
Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple stakeholders effectively
