Job type: Temporary Full-time role - 3 months initially, extendable up to 12 months subject to funding (funded under AGRN1242)
Salary: $96,581 - $107,122 per annum pro rata, dependent on qualifications and experience
About the position
As Fire Recovery Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination of projects that drive community recovery, rebuilding, and economic recovery.
This position has been established to undertake a key role in supporting Corangamite Shire Council's response and recovery to the January 2026 fire events, funded under AGRN 1242.
About you
* A relevant tertiary qualification or extensive experience in a comparable role, with a strong background in social work, community engagement or similar.
* Demonstrated experience in community development processes, including community engagement, consultation, facilitation, and capacity‑building initiatives.
* Demonstrated understanding of the issues surrounding bushfires and the impacts of bushfires on communities directly and indirectly affected.
* Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
* Current National Police Check and Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain both.
