The role
Are you a master of logistics, ensuring every part is exactly where it needs to be, when it needs to be there? We're seeking two dynamic Parts Coordinators to be the backbone of our operational efficiency. You'll manage vital inventory, liaise with suppliers, and ensure our teams have the right components to deliver seamless service. Your precision keeps our wheels turning.
The primary responsibility of this role is to evaluate motor vehicle repair quotes and identify alternative parts that align with the parts policy. Where possible, the coordinator will aim to reduce the parts portion of the repair costs.
Collaborating with the Assessing and Claims Teams is essential to ensure optimal cost management and the best possible outcomes for customers.
What You'll Be Doing
* Offer technical assistance regarding parts for claims, utilizing your expert knowledge of automotive components.
* Review and interpret insurance policies related to automotive claims, reviewing parts policy to ensure charges are in line with partner agreements.
* Assess the parts components of vehicles deemed a total loss to determine if any parts costs and procurement can be negotiated and managed, potentially saving the vehicle.
* Review repair estimates, considering parts availability, pricing, alternate options, and provide detailed reports and recommendations for claims processing.
* Maintain knowledge of industry trends, equipment, and parts.
* Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and standards.
* Collaborate with internal (Supply Team) and external (eg repairers, parts suppliers) stakeholders to procure necessary parts and services for claims.
* Communicate effectively with clients throughout the claims process.
* Establish and maintain relationships with parts and parts data suppliers.
* Travel to connected stakeholders to build and maintain relationships as required (eg IACs, parts and parts data providers).
* Manage workload throughout the day to achieve optimal outcomes with high efficiency.
* Additional tasks as reasonably required.
* Take all reasonable directions from leaders to comply with the organisation's workplace health & safety (WHS) protocols. WHS is everyone's responsibility.
What Experience You'll Bring
* Experience in claims processing and parts procurement in insurance.
* Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication abilities.
* Proficiency in claims management software.
* Currently working in the Motor Industry, Manufacturing or Service Sector in a similar role.
* Experience in a retail parts department with a general understanding of the wider automotive industry.
* Experience with Body Shop parts interpreting/estimating an advantage.
* High level of personal commitment and attention to detail.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
* Proficient in Solera Audanet system.
* Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure) for data storage, collaboration, and application development.
* Mobile Technology Proficiency: Understanding of mobile apps and tools that enhance productivity and communication.
