Data Quality & Document Validation Specialist

Location: Melbourne (Hybrid – 3 days offsite, 2 days onsite)
Contract: 3-month project, ASAP start
Our client is a leading organisation within the power and utilities sector, delivering reliable energy infrastructure and asset management solutions across Melbourne and Victoria. They are currently undertaking a focused project to ensure the integrity, quality, and compliance of asset-related data and documentation.
Role Overview
The Data Quality & Document Validation Specialist will play a key role in supporting the utility asset management function by reviewing, validating, and producing critical documentation. The role will involve ensuring data accuracy, alignment with compliance standards, and preparing high-quality outputs for project delivery and operational use.
Key Responsibilities
* Review, validate, and update utility asset documentation and data sets.
* Identify and correct data quality issues, inconsistencies, or gaps.
* Produce accurate reports and validated documentation for project and operational teams.
* Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with engineers, asset managers, and project staff to ensure alignment.
* Maintain version control and audit records of validated documents.
* Support knowledge transfer and process improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
* Prior experience in data quality, document control, or technical documentation within utilities, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint) and document management systems.
* Ability to interpret and validate technical information related to assets.
* Understanding of compliance frameworks in utilities/asset management (desirable).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
