Your Impact
As a Junior Field Services Technician, you will be the face of DXC at customer sites—providing dependable support, delivering quality outcomes, and ensuring every interaction reflects our core values: deliver excellence, foster collaboration, and earn trust.
You will gain practical experience across hardware support, device lifecycle management, and customer engagement, all while working with a team passionate about empowering organisations through technology.

Key Responsibilities
Customer-Focused Technical Support

* Deliver walk-up / Tech Bar support, delivering fast, effective resolutions to hardware and peripheral issues.
* Assist customers with diagnosing and resolving AV-related problems across meeting rooms and shared spaces.
* Communicate clearly and professionally, ensuring users understand activities, timelines, and next steps.
* Manage escalations and customer concerns in line with DXC processes, ensuring a seamless support experience.

Device Lifecycle & Inventory Management

* Conduct device imaging, configuration, and refresh activities, replacing aging hardware with new, modern devices.
* Maintain stock rooms, oversee device audits, and ensure accurate tracking of assets and equipment.
* Support delivery logistics, equipment staging, and storage activities.

Operational Excellence

* Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, resolutions, and device management activities.
* Follow DXC processes, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows.

* Ability to configure, upgrade, repair, and troubleshoot devices under pressure while maintaining composure.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to follow structured processes.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
* Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and responsibly
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* A collaborative approach with the ability to build positive relationships with peers, partners, and customers.
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams (preferred but not essential).

Preferred Education & Experience

* Previous experience supporting customer PC environments is an advantage but not required.
* Vocational Certification, Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent experience in IT or related fields.

Basic understanding of:

* PC hardware and software functions
* Networking interfaces
* Exposure to Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, or Skype for Business is beneficial.

Additional Requirements

* Must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
* Willingness to travel to nearby customer locations as needed.
