We are currently looking for a Tunnel Surveyor to join our team for a Heavy Civil Construction Project in Cooma, NSW.
-Location: Cooma, NSW (100% On-site).
-Estimated Duration : 24 months - In general, when the project ends, we try to relocate the employee to other projects to ensure continuity.
-Summary: provide technical and field support to the Survey Manager across all underground survey operations.
The successful candidate will assist with survey calculations, establishing control networks, and performing traverse activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
-Responsibilities: Support the Survey Manager in the execution of underground surveying tasks and calculations.
Assist with the establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of underground control networks.
Operate gyroscopic instruments (e.g., DMT Gyromat ****, ****, or equivalent) for orientation and positional measurements.
Conduct survey traverses, data collection, and quality checks in line with project requirements.
Maintain survey records, drawings, reports, and digital data in accordance with company procedures.
Contribute to safe and efficient underground operations within large and complex projects.
Liaise with engineers, construction teams, and site personnel to support daily survey needs.
-Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tunnel Surveyor in tunnels/ underground/mining/ heavy civil construction projects or similar.
Solid understanding of surveying procedures, data validation processes, and adjustment methodologies.
Strong knowledge of Australian standards, regulations, and industry policies.
Proficient in the use of modern surveying software and data management platforms.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
-Working Hours: 14/7 rotational 12-hour shifts- Day/Night/ Monday to Friday- 10 hours shift- to be determined- -Benefits: Competitive salary 12% superannuation.
