Our Client, Boss Engineering Pty Ltd, is seeking for skilled and experienced Metal Machinists to join its manufacturing team. The company specialises in precision engineering and fabrication, delivering high-quality components for agricultural, transport, and industrial sectors. About the Role The Metal Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating machining equipment to produce metal parts and components to precise specifications. The role involves working with both manual and CNC machinery in a busy workshop environment. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, CNC machines, grinders, and drilling machines Machine components to required tolerances and quality standards Carry out quality checks using precision measuring tools (verniers, micrometers, gauges) Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with workplace procedures Work closely with other team members to meet production deadlines About You Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Metal Machinist or in a similar role Relevant trade qualification in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Machining) or equivalent Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings Experience operating CNC and/or manual machining equipment High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Sound knowledge of workshop safety practices Ability to work independently and within a team What We Offer Full-time stable employment with a reputable engineering company Supportive and safety-focused work environment Opportunity to work with modern machining equipment Career growth and development opportunities
