Sales Representative – Equipment Sales

Kerr’s Equipment Sales (Kerr's Hire) is looking for a motivated and driven Sales Representative to grow our equipment sales division, with a strong focus on Wacker Neuson compact and light equipment.
This is a hands-on role combining on-the-road sales, customer relationship management, and marketing, with the opportunity to make a real impact on business growth.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for building strong relationships with customers, identifying opportunities, and delivering the right equipment solutions. Your time will be split between customer visits, business development, and in-office sales support.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Engagement
* Build and maintain strong relationships with B2B customers
* Identify customer needs and recommend suitable equipment solutions
* Conduct on-site visits to job sites and customer locations
* Follow up leads and enquiries promptly
* Prepare quotes and close sales
Business Development
* Identify and pursue new customers and market opportunities
* Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth
* Maintain accurate sales and customer records
Marketing & Brand Presence
* Assist with social media and marketing campaigns
* Promote equipment, offers, and customer success stories
* Stay across market trends and competitor activity
Operations & Coordination
* Coordinate equipment delivery and customer handover
* Liaise with the Equipment Manager on servicing and preparation
* Manage parts ordering and customer enquiries
Product Knowledge
* Develop strong knowledge of Wacker Neuson equipment
* Attend training and stay up to date with industry requirements
What We’re Looking For
* Sales experience (equipment, construction, or similar preferred)
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Basic mechanical or equipment knowledge (advantageous)
* Current driver’s licence

Hours
Monday to Friday
7:30am – 4:00pm (with reasonable additional hours as required)
