Job Title
A skilled professional is sought after to lead the planning and management of raw material inventory levels in a way that effectively meets production schedule requirements, while taking into account overall supply chain efficiencies and working capital targets.
* This role involves ensuring the timely arrival/placement/confirmation of all material requirements from outside suppliers (purchase orders) and Kerry Group sites globally (Stock Transfer Orders).
* The ideal candidate will lead the resolution of any stock out issues to avoid compromising production and/or customer delivery deadlines.
* The Materials Planner will also support and participate in the commercialisation process through to launch of all new products introduced into the site.
Responsibilities:
1. In conjunction with business systems, reports and production schedules, ensure the timely arrival / placement / confirmation of all material requirements from outside suppliers (purchase orders) and Kerry Group sites globally (Stock Transfer Orders).
2. Lead the resolution of any stock out issues to avoid compromising production and/or customer delivery deadlines.
3. Support and participate in the commercialisation process through to launch of all new products introduced into the site.
4. Work closely with the procurement team on material requirements and supply issues.
5. Generate and report on weekly 'At Risks' materials and flag up projected stock shortfalls. Provide commentary on actions take to meet deadlines.
6. Develop clear and robust action plans for slow moving stocks to reduce stock write-off risk.
7. Work with and develop expertise in material call-off planning using SAP ECC & APO modules.
8. Manage, review and maintain relevant master data settings as it relates to safety stocks, MOQ / Ordering lot sizes and lead times. Work with suppliers and/or procurement on optimisation opportunities with view to maximise cash flow and meet agreed targets.
9. Analyse system downloads to provide raw material requirement forecasts to suppliers.
10. Support the vendor OTIF process and finalise OTIF results for allocated portfolio.
11. Assist procurement in obtaining corrective actions for supplier performance issues. Arrange, attend and participate in supplier performance reviews.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience and a solid understanding of Supply Chain Theory coupled with hands on inventory/materials planning experience.
* Strong analytical, planning and negotiation skills as well as knowledge of ERP systems is essential; SAP experience is a definite advantage.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that exemplify professionalism in both internal and external environments and enables effective ways of working with people from different functions and levels.
* Motivated with a drive to succeed in a demanding and challenging working environment.
* Excellent problem solver with the ability to tackle complex issues and work to tight deadlines to achieve desired outcomes.
