Position Overview
Permanent Part Time, up to 64 hours per fortnight
Managers & Administrative Workers Grade 1 (commencing at $27.75 base hourly rate)
Preadmission Services is a dynamic department responsible for the planning and preparation of patients requiring surgery at West Gippsland Healthcare Group. This position will be responsible for completing the day‐to‐day administrative duties within the department and will include working closely with the Elective Surgery Access Assistant, the Preadmission Services Clinic Nurse, Surgical Liaison Nurses, Medical staff & patients. We are looking for someone with the flexibility to train in all aspects of Preadmission Services to cover any planned and unplanned leave.
Key Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for completing the day‐to‐day administrative duties within the department.
Work closely with the Elective Surgery Access Assistant, the Preadmission Services Clinic Nurse, Surgical Liaison Nurses, Medical staff & patients.
Provide support and cover any planned and unplanned leave.
Qualifications & Skills
* A background in health administration
* Excellent organizational skills and great time management
* Well‐developed written and verbal communication skills
* Commitment to the provision of quality customer service
* Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
* Experience in providing reception services, administration and office support
* Proficiency with iPM, VINAH and Genie software
* An ability to operate as part of a team or independently when required.
Important
Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required prior to commencement.
