About The Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate closely with an established Energy & Chemicals team to deliver high‐quality engineering solutions for clients, while continuing to build your technical expertise and industry experience.
Location: Perth WA
Roster: 5 days a week, normal working hours
Contract duration: 12 months
Responsibilities
* Deliver discipline‐specific electrical engineering services in compliance with project scope, safety, quality, statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Develop safe, sustainable, and fit‐for‐purpose designs across the asset lifecycle, considering operability, maintainability and decommissioning.
* Identify, assess and manage safety hazards and risks, including participation in HAZID, HAZOP and safety‐in‐design workshops.
* Prepare, review and verify engineering calculations, drawings and technical documentation in line with applicable standards and codes.
* Collaborate with peers, senior engineers and multi‐disciplinary teams to manage interfaces and achieve integrated design outcomes.
* Proactively identify issues, apply innovative solutions, leverage digital and AI‐enabled tools, and support change management when scope variations arise.
Experience & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electrical Power Engineering, with 6+ years' experience delivering electrical engineering services in energy, chemicals, or similar industrial sectors.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently across all project phases, including design, execution, construction and commissioning.
* Strong technical expertise in electrical equipment design and studies, including HV/LV systems, protection and relay settings, hazardous area design, and compliance with Australian electrical standards.
* Hands‐on experience producing and reviewing key electrical deliverables such as SLDs, schematics, layouts, calculations, datasheets and construction work packs.
* Practical site experience covering inspections, construction support, FATs, SATs and commissioning activities.
* Skilled in interdisciplinary coordination, control and instrumentation interfacing, and contributing to estimates, schedules, procurement and shutdown planning.
