About the opportunity
As Australia's newest uranium producer, we're growing and looking for two qualified and experienced Electricians to join our Wellfield Construction team at the Honeymoon mine site in South Australia.
Reporting to the Wellfield Leading Hands, you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and routine preventative maintenance of electrical equipment within the Wellfields. You'll work autonomously to complete all tasks safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Exceptional time management and a drive to achieve project milestones are keys to your success.
Your primary focus will be on installing and commissioning new equipment to support mine expansion and maintaining existing wellfield plant. You will foster and encourage collaboration and teamwork while supporting all disciplines in the Wellfields team.
These roles will be FIFO from Adelaide or Port Augusta direct to site. The initial roster will be 2:2, trialled for 6 months; it may then revert to an 8:6 roster.
In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:
* Contribute to planning and procurement processes while leading the execution of electrical construction programs for new wellfields.
* Install equipment such as transformers, variable speed drives (VSDs), PLC infrastructure, flow meters, and actuated valves.
* Oversee the commissioning of electrical systems for in‑situ leaching operations.
* Manage labour hire and additional resources as required.
* Ensure all assets are constructed and installed in compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
* Conduct routine inspections of plant and equipment, implement preventative maintenance measures and condition monitoring to ensure operational reliability.
About You
What you'll need:
* Experience in a similar role in mining or a heavy industrial environment.
* Demonstrated experience with electrical and basic instrumentation fault‑finding and diagnostics on fixed plant equipment.
* The ability to plan, write scopes of work and material lists.
* Experience in Maintenance Management Systems (MMS).
* A sound knowledge and understanding of Work Health & Safety requirements in a mining environment.
* Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships.
* A proactive and solutions focused approach.
While not essential the following will be highly regarded:
* A HV ticket and HV switching experience.
* Experience commissioning instrumentation.
