About the Role
We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis as a Safety, Health & Environment Business Partner. Reporting to the Head of Safety, you will support the GM – Northern Region and leadership teams with advice, coaching, and technical support to continuously improve business processes and workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities
* Assist the Head of Safety in planning and conducting internal reviews of systems and procedures.
* Incorporate risk controls and other internal controls and reviews for both WHS and environmental compliance.
* Develop and communicate required safety policy and procedures.
* Provide expert advice, engage, influence, coach, and mentor key stakeholders and delivery partners to drive desired WH&S behaviours and performance outcomes.
* Lead and drive exceptional performance through fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture.
* In consultation and collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization, lead the establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the safety and environmental risk management framework.
* Assist and facilitate H&S risk management training, education, and in-field coaching to raise awareness of responsibilities and build capability in effectively implementing the requirements of the H&S risk management framework.

Requirements
* Relevant education in Safety Management.
* Knowledge of, and ability to interpret, relevant safety legislation, policies, and processes.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills including the ability to articulate complex concepts into simplified language.
* Strong bias for action with the ability to execute effectively.
* People-centered mindset that understands how change is delivered through effective engagement and relationships.
* Previous knowledge of chemical safety management (desirable).
