The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.Project scope includes:Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each directionCivil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnelsSurface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah FreewayAs an Electrical Site Engineer, you'll oversee installations, ensure compliance, and optimise system performance. You’ll manage sub-contractors, maintain cost control, and provide key technical insights to drive project success.Key accountabilities for the position:Ensure electrical scopes are completed within the designated time and budget while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Assist in planning electrical materials, resources, and system integration for cost-effective and best-practice project execution.Maintain documentation and compliance systems for electrical safety, environmental considerations, and industry regulations.Participate in sub-contractor meetings to provide technical input and ensure seamless coordination.Manage cost control for specific electrical scope of works and maintain a 3-week lookahead plan.Read and interpret electrical design plans, schematics, and drawings, ensuring proper implementation.Supervise, mentor, and support Graduate Electrical Engineers, fostering skill development and best practices.Required Skills and CompetenciesCapability & Experience you will need to have:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or a similar).Demonstrated experience in a site-based electrical engineering role.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.Well-developed communication skills with the ability to engage subcontractors, local authorities, and internal stakeholders.High attention to detail, ensuring compliance with electrical standards and regulations.What we offerACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023 & 2024 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
