The West Moreton Virtual Ward, provides hospital-level care to patients in their own homes, avoiding the need for traditional hospital admissions. This service offers ongoing monitoring, support, and access to healthcare professionals through various means like phone calls and video conferencing. Patients receive regular check-ins to monitor their condition and can be transferred to a hospital if needed

About the role
The role of the Ward Administration Support Officer is to provide effective service delivery and patient-focused support following West Moreton Health's purposes and objectives, responding to general customer enquiries, and providing timely and accurate information and assistance to clients and staff as outlined below.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Have strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment and autonomously when required.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Positive and effective customer service.
Proficiency in the application of internal hospital information systems in addition to Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of basic medical terminology to extract and interpret pertinent information from patient medical records and hospital information systems
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16 (PDF) ( )
