Your Role
This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for managing our Cabot's manufacturing site in Dandenong South to ensure quality in manufacture of the facility.
You'll be tasked with ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely while supervising and managing a small team of technicians and electrician contractors.
The role requires flexibility with working hours, ideally starting between 6am and 8am to align with the shifts of the trades team members within our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct preventative maintenance, periodic maintenance and repairs to production equipment while ensuring minimal disruption and production downtime.
* Work with production teams to understand their requirements for available equipment.
* Troubleshoot (fault find) and diagnose machine faults and ensure breakdowns are addressed in a safe and effective manner.
* Conduct post-maintenance activities and assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment including identifying equipment degradation.

Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* Trade Certificate (Fitter and Turner), Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade and/or significant industry experience in a similar role.
* Knowledgeable in troubleshooting mechanical faults and implementing effective solutions.
* Sound mechanical & welding skills (Arc, Mig and Tig).
* Experience with MEX computerised maintenance management system (or other CMMS).
* Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication skills with a natural ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups.
