The Garden and Grounds Officer role is a vital position within our organization, responsible for following instruction from the Maintenance Manager and undertaking gardening and grounds works at multiple campuses.
* General garden maintenance
* Ability to work independently and in a team
In consultation with the Maintenance Manager, the Garden and Grounds Officer plays a crucial role in:
* Maintaining tools and/or equipment for safe operation and ensuring they are always ready for use.
* Operating various equipment (mowers, whipper snippers, brush cutters, etc.) for grounds care and upkeep.
* Planting flora (lawns, shrubbery, flowers) and utilizing landscape materials to create attractive grounds maintenance.
* Pruning, propagating, mulching, and weeding to keep our grounds looking their best.
* Maintaining grounds areas for safety and events, ensuring that our facilities remain accessible and enjoyable for all users.
* Monitoring landscaped areas, sprinkler systems, and grounds for repairs and replacement needs, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Current Driver's Licence, Certificate in Horticulture or knowledge of plants/planting, Certificate in chemical sprays, Experience in lawn mower use.
