Respiratory Care Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide comprehensive respiratory nursing care to patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and other respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify respiratory-related needs and develop personalized care plans.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
* Lead group sessions for pulmonary rehabilitation twice weekly, promoting patient empowerment and education.
* Provide detailed spirometry testing and interpret results accurately.
* Offer education and support to clients using oxygen therapy, fostering independence and self-management skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) or equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience in respiratory care, preferably in a leading pulmonary rehabilitation setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Detailed knowledge of COPD, asthma, and other respiratory conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment options.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to service improvement initiatives.
