About the Role
We are seeking a System Administrator with strong experience in Oracle Solaris and Oracle Linux. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering SPARC and x86 platforms, applying security hardening, and supporting legacy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer Oracle Solaris and Linux systems on SPARC M12, S7-series, and x86 hardware.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot OS-level errors.
* Apply configuration updates and implement security hardening.
* Optimise systems for uptime and usability.
* Provide testing and support for legacy platforms.
* Deliver 24/7 operational monitoring and console support.
* Assist third-party engineers with onsite changes and issue resolution.
Required Experience:
* Proven experience in Oracle Solaris and Oracle Linux administration.
* Strong understanding of SPARC and x86 platform operations.
* Familiarity with system optimisation and legacy support.
* Ability to monitor master consoles and respond to OS errors.
* Advanced SPARC Solaris/Oracle Linux administration.
* Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and automation.
* Experience supporting enterprise applications and Oracle technologies.
