About the role
As a Weighbridge Operator at the Blackwater Waste Facility, your primary responsibilities include:
* Operating the weighbridge system (Mandalay) to log waste transactions accurately
* Weighing incoming and outgoing waste vehicles and ensuring compliance with regulations
* Handling cash and processing EFT transactions
* Providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with waste disposal and recycling inquiries
* Ensuring accurate record‐keeping and reporting of waste transactions
* Maintaining site safety and ensuring compliance with environmental and operational procedures
* General onsite duties
Qualifications
* Basic computer skills (mandatory) and experience using weighbridge systems (desirable)
* Forklift licence (desirable)
* Loader tickets (desirable)
* MR drivers licence (desirable)
* Friendly personality with excellent customer service and communication skills
* A commitment to safety, teamwork, and following operational procedures
* Experience in waste management, transport, or logistics (desirable)
