Band 7 - $100,629 - 112,594 yearly, plus 12% statutory superannuation

Lead the operations of the ICT Service Desk

Are you a strong problem solver, supportive leader with strong customer service focus. And up for the challenge of managing technical support and providing innovative ICT solutions to both Wellington and East Gippsland Shire Council?

We are looking for an ICT leader for a 2 year contract, that has extensive experience, knowledge and skills to ensure responsive and coordinated support across all ICT functions including managing after-hours support, cyber security activity and emergencies, network, communications and infrastructure all while building and maintaining positive stakeholder, customer and team relationships and promoting a cooperative working culture.

- Responsibilities
- Operate the ICT Service Desk on a daily basis.
- Maintain the IT register of assets.
- Assist with desktop and software support.
- Working shared services with Wellington Shire Council and East Gippsland Shire Council.
- Allocate ICT support calls.

About You

Our ideal candidate has qualifications or substantial experience in ICT Service Management and Service Desk activities and has experience in ICT asset management. They’re highly responsive to the needs of the ICT teams and can operate seamlessly within the framework of responsibilities and priorities set by the Coordinator ICT Operations, including after-hours support. The role requires high quality customer service and excellent troubleshoot skills. Ability to manage priorities is essential to ensure all service levels are maintained for both Councils.

- Tertiary qualifications are highly desirable.
- Can demonstrate their experience with IT Networks and systems and who wants to build a career in this industry.

- Can troubleshoot by working with staff to resolve any technical problems.
- Is pleasant and helpful, a good communicator with everyone across the organisation.
- Has the ability to work as a team member.
