**General Manager, Shoalhaven Hospital Group**
**Executive Band 1**
**Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District**

An exciting opportunity exists for a General Manager to lead the Shoalhaven Hospital Group. This key executive leadership role and will oversee the expansion of local health services across the Shoalhaven region.

**About Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD)**
The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District extends south of Sydney, about 250km along this picturesque coastal strip, and provides world class health care to its community of more than 400,000 residents. ISLHD is one of the region's largest employers with a workforce of more than 8,500 across eight hospital sites and more than 60 community health services, and an annual budget of approximately $1.2 billion. ISLHD has an experienced and established executive and leadership team and a commitment to delivering the very best health outcomes for the communities served.

If you are a skilled executive operating at a strategic level with proven experience driving growth and affecting change this job offers a unique experience to be involved in the construction and opening of the areas newest hospital redevelopment offering expanded emergency, critical care, acute, sub-acute and non-admitted services locally. You will demonstrate the capacity to work collaboratively across a multi-disciplined organisational landscape. You will possess an innovative mindset and be passionate about healthcare and its impact on the community. Critical to your success will be your strong communication and engagement skills.

This role will be located in Shoalhaven Hospital, Scenic Drive, Nowra.

**Role Outline**
The General Manager Shoalhaven Hospital Group is responsible for the effective and efficient financial and operational management of all Services provided by the Group which includes Shoalhaven District Memorial, Milton Ulladulla and David Berry Hospitals. A key function of the role is the oversight of a robust clinical governance and leadership framework requiring strengthening clinical leadership and engagement to ensure the safe delivery of clinical services within the Group.

You are required to submit a one page covering letter, including a short statement in response to the two targeted questions below:
1. Give a recent example of when you have managed a large and diverse operational team, with a strong focus on service delivery, within a clinical or emergency management governance and performance framework, which included maintaining quality assurance.

2. Describe a role in which you led significant transformation across large acute care hospital or health service, and outline your key achievements. How did you manage the various stakeholders when leading this transformation including building a culture of collaboration, respect and understanding in the workplace?

**Essential Requirements**
- Extensive proven experience at a senior management level in a substantial and complex organisation engaged in clinical service delivery.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing operational structures and business planning processes to achieve organisational objectives and KPIs within budget.

This is an ongoing, full-time, Band 1, Health Service senior executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $203,286 to $227,389 (SOORT 2024) per annum, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
