Payroll Officer
The role
The Payroll Officer works under the direction of the Manager – Payroll Services to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of payroll services for the school. Some key responsibilities of the role include:
* Preparing and administering the end-to-end function of payroll
* Providing accurate and timely advice and assistance to school employees on a range of payroll-related issues.
* Assisting with payroll-related projects and the constant development and improvement of payroll services provided to employees.
* Day to day administration requirements of the payroll function.
About You
This role would suit someone with a keen interest in payroll and a willingness to further develop their skills and knowledge in payroll. Ideally you will have had some experience to processing end-to-end payroll, however, we encourage both early career and experienced Payroll Officers to apply.
You will bring:
* Learning mindset, genuine enthusiasm to learn further about Payroll and willingness to absorb knowledge from experienced professionals.
* Basic or Intermediate understanding of payroll concepts but keen to develop their skill further on the job.
* Experience in similar payroll position with an exposure or responsibility for end-to-end process for medium to large payrun.
* Have excellent customer service skills and be happy to assist with payroll queries in a timely manner.
* Thrive on ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and by the deadline.
* Interest in understanding payroll legislation and Enterprise Agreement (comprehensive training provided).
* Willingness to become proficient in Micropay and ConnX with our thorough training program.
