Senior Safety Advisor Job Opportunity
This position is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance across various projects.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in occupational health and safety, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and industry standards.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Coach and support project personnel to achieve safe project execution.
* Assist in onboarding subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to site safety rules and company requirements.
* Monitor subcontractor activities to guarantee compliance with environmental, technical, and safety specifications.
* Support Principal Contractor safety obligations onsite while identifying non-compliances through audits.
* Deliver HSE advice and services to projects across the business, fostering effective partnerships with client and subcontractor HSE teams.
* Report to the Governance & Risk Manager to ensure effective functionality and support operations including behavioral safety and culture improvement campaigns.
Requirements
* Australian recognized tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety.
* 5+ years' experience in similar HSE site-based and/or corporate roles within the renewables, infrastructure, or construction sector.
* Incident investigation & Return to Work Coordinator experience.
* Well-established knowledge of HSE legislation and industry standards with in-depth knowledge of Principal Contractor duties.
* Formal training in incident investigation methodology (ICAM).
* Proficient user of MS Office Suite to accurately assemble, maintain, and document quality records and accurate reports.
* Well-developed written communication skills.
* Well-versed in modern behavioral safety and culture-based programs.
* Driver's license and proof of right to work in Australia.
