This role involves providing individualised, strength-based support to young people living with disability, mental health challenges, trauma histories, and other complex needs.You’ll work closely with participants, families, and external professionals to promote safety, independence, community participation, and personal growth.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct 1:1 or group-based support to young people in home and community settingsBuild trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundariesImplement trauma-informed strategies to manage challenging behavioursSupport with goal achievement under NDIS plansPromote emotional regulation, life skills, and social engagementCollaborate with other professionals including social workers, therapists, and familiesMaintain accurate progress notes and incident reporting in line with NDIS guidelinesAbout YouWe’re looking for someone who’s:Passionate about supporting young people and understanding their unique storiesResilient, emotionally intelligent, and calm under pressureKnowledgeable about trauma, disability, and behavioural challengesReliable, compassionate, and able to work independently and as part of a teamMinimum Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services, or equivalentOR a social work, psychology, or relevant allied health qualification (Social Workers are strongly encouraged to apply)Experience working with children and young people with trauma and complex needsUnderstanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practiceCurrent Working With Children CheckNDIS Worker Screening CheckCurrent First Aid & CPRFull SA Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicleWhy Join Goodwill ProCare?A values-driven team culture that puts people firstFlexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyleOngoing training and reflective supervisionOpportunity to make a real impact every daySupportive management that genuinely caresReady to Apply?If you’re ready to help young people thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
