Job Description
As a full-time chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious, well-balanced meals for our workers and company staff. You will work alongside our kitchen team to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene. This role requires flexibility to accommodate shift work, attention to detail, and an ability to handle a large volume of meals efficiently.
Reporting To The Accommodation Manager, This Position Is
Kalgoorlie residents only
Full-time Position, minimum of 38 hours per week
10-hour shifts, Breakfast is 2:*****:30 and dinner is 11:*****:00
Tasks And Responsibilities
Prepare and cook breakfast or dinner for up to 65+ workers and staff daily.
Plan and organise meals, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
Ensure food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, following all health and safety guidelines.
Manage food stock, ensuring proper inventory levels, and minimising food wastage.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations during meal service times.
Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and utensils.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate within 5 years of validity
Previous experience in bulk catering environment
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Previous experience as a FIFO Chef is highly desired but not essential
Australian Citizenship or full working rights in Australia
You will be required to obtain a National Police Check, should you not have one dated within the last 6 months
