About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a Lead Works Coordinator to join Service Stream. Service Stream's Utilities Division is currently seeking a Lead Works Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead two Works Coordinators in supporting the Civil Maintenance team by coordinating operational and logistical administration, including the effective scheduling and dispatch of resources.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and oversight of call-taking, dispatching and resources in consultation with discipline Supervisors during business hours
* Oversee the coordination of emergency calls, ensuring rapid assessment, escalation, and deployment of resources to meet response time requirements
* Manage end-to-end job management through a specialised systems environment; action any resultant works required, and ensure job closure
* Provide guidance to Works Coordinators on liaising with field crews and Supervisors, ensuring works are completed within required timeframes and additional works are raised appropriately
* Oversee the coordination of tools, equipment, vehicles, and critical spares, ensuring availability, maintenance scheduling, and efficient dispatch
* Review productivity monitoring records, analyse trends, and report issues or anomalies to management with recommended actions
* Lead the preparation and review of daily operational reports, ensuring data accuracy and timely distribution
* Ensure task allocation and work orders are completed in line with client, customer, and business objectives, providing direction and support to the coordination team
* Drive consistency and continuous improvement across coordination processes, system use, and operational workflows
* Act as the primary point of escalation for operational issues affecting scheduling, dispatch, or job progression
* Support training, onboarding, and capability development of Works Coordinators and administrative staff
About You
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Previous water industry experience (desirable)
* Working knowledge of dispatch, works scheduling and/or planning relating software
* Working knowledge of Asset Management Software (Maximo desirable)
* Excellent provision of customer service
* Professional, friendly and enthusiastic manner
* Well-developed organisational and administration skills
* High level of attention to detail
