The role
Fortress, in partnership with Europcar, is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day coordination and operational delivery of our Europcar hire vehicle fleet.
This role is central to ensuring fleet availability, efficient turnaround, accurate administration, and an exceptional customer experience. You'll work closely with customers, internal Fortress teams, and Europcar representatives to ensure vehicles are presented to brand standard and operational needs are consistently met.
Responsible for managing vehicle bookings, check-ins and check-outs, fleet presentation, reporting, and compliance; you someone who enjoys juggling priorities, maintaining order, and delivering service excellence in a fast-paced environment.
* Coordinate the end-to-end customer repair cycle, including booking, updates, and serving as the main point of contact.
* Liaise with key internal functions, external suppliers, and assessors.
* Maintain accurate records in our repair management software (IBody).
* Promote a strong service culture by responding effectively to customer needs and supporting team operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all Europcar bookings including new hires, extensions, amendments, and returns
* Coordinate rental vehicle requirements with customers and internal Fortress teams
* Ensure fleet availability, cleanliness, roadworthiness, and presentation to Europcar standards
* Conduct vehicle check-out and check-in inspections, including photos and damage reporting
* Manage efficient vehicle handovers and returns, clearly explaining rental terms
* Maintain accurate rental, repair movement, and system records in line with compliance requirements
* Deliver professional, customer-focused service and resolve enquiries promptly
* Proactively manage overdue vehicles, extensions, and booking changes
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fleet and compliance reports
* Coordinate fleet servicing, repairs, detailing, and internal movements
* Support repair check-ins, vehicle handovers, quality control, and reception as required
About you
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
* Confident communicator with a customer-first mindset
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Comfortable working with systems, reporting, and daily data tracking
* Previous experience in fleet management, vehicle rentals, automotive, collision repair, or customer service environments (highly regarded)
* Professional presentation and ability to represent brand standards
