JDK Geotech (JDK) is actively seeking to build our Rock Engineering Team in NSW to help deliver recently awarded project scope.

The candidates will form part of JDK's established technical team to help deliver technical services to various infrastructure, tunnelling and mining projects in Sydney and NSW from our Pyrmont Office.

Key Responsibilities
* Review geotechnical information for input in geotechnical design
* Design,reviewand implementation of Hazard Plans, Permit to Drill & Mine and Permits to Mine
* Providedaily geological advice related to the mine's current andfuture plans
* Slope stability assessments, 3D modelling and underground stability review
* Assess,auditandfacilitate the assessment of existing and new underground critical areas.
* Manage geotechnical risk with reference to relevant Mining Acts and Regulations
* Perform stability analysis UG excavations using accepted industry practices, and where needed of slopes in open pits
* Facilitate internal and external audits and inspections for technical services department
* Optimising ground support policies for underground development to manage the ground conditions in a cost-efficient and practical manner
* Improve selective mining processes via a reduction in stope over break and dilution. Safety focussed mindset
About You
* White Card
* Tertiary qualification in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Mining Engineering
* Minimum one year of tunnelling or underground mining experience. Any coal mining experience is looked upon favourably
* Clear communicator and open personality
* Experience using Geotechnical & Mining Software, and Mine Planning Systems - includingLeapFrog, Minex,Plaxis,RocSciencesuite and Map3D
* Experience in mine production and development operationsStrong analytical skills and understanding of statutory requirements for NSW mines
