Your Opportunity:
You will work under the direction of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to deliver a consistently high standard of clinical service in Residential Aged Care settings. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will be involved in both clinical and administrative duties.
You will be part of a new innovative way of offering allied health services to our clients. Our Plena Care Pathway has been designed to provide therapists with an opportunity to tailor therapy programs for residents, based on their goals and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in delivering physiotherapy services in accordance with Plena Healthcare's operating procedures and policies.
* Service RAC clients in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan.
* Transport residents to and from therapy sessions under the direction of physiotherapists or occupational therapists.
* Set up and pack away the physiotherapy gym area, including cleaning equipment.
* Collect referrals and perform other administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists.
* Order prescribed equipment.
* Run exercise groups and programs.
* Support initiatives to meet client and contract expectations.
* Consult with physiotherapists or occupational therapists regarding adaptations or changes to treatment plans.
* Participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure.
