Mechanical Technician
The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated mechanical technician to join our team at our Stapylton site. This is a full-time position that requires working various shifts across multiple 24-hour production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental guidelines.
* Perform mechanical repairs on a range of fixed plant with a focus on planned maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
* Collaborate with the Operations team during breakdowns and fault finding exercises.
* Respond promptly to callouts and unplanned maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
* Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs in accordance with site requirements.
* Lead major overhauls through various plant shutdowns.
* Focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide guidance to contractors and work groups as needed.
Requirements
* Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter) preferably with experience in heavy industry.
* A confident, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
* A team player with flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
* Ability to work independently and without direct supervision when necessary.
* Post-Trade certificate and experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
* Basic computer literacy.
* High-Risk Forklift license - desirable but not essential.
* Working at Heights, Confined Space - desirable but not essential.
* EWP tickets - desirable but not essential.
