Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages over 40,000km of distribution networks, more than 4,300km of transmission pipelines and 60 petajoules of storage capacity. We employ over 500 team members and manage a contractor workforce of approximately 1600, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG's gas distribution networks.

About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities across network expansion, strategic urban and step-out developments, infill projects, and large customer connections. Leading a small, high-performing team, you'll play a critical role in driving sustainable growth and enhancing customer value.
Key Responsibilities:
* Achieve connection and revenue targets through strategic business development initiatives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders to identify and secure new opportunities.
* Lead the development and delivery of innovative gas and renewable gas growth opportunities.
* Champion a customer-centric approach by enhancing customer experiences, including exploring digital communications solutions.
* Use AGIG's CRM platform to manage customer relationships and set best practice standards.
* Contribute to the development and execution of the Business Development Strategy.
* Ensure offerings exceed customer expectations and align with AGIG's long-term goals.
* Identify and implement sustainable and cost-efficient solutions to improve operations and customer journeys.
* Manage team performance, budgets, and expenses within allocated limits.
About You
* Proven experience in a business development leadership role, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving growth and revenue targets.
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
* Strategic thinker with a customer-first mindset and a passion for innovation.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Experience using CRM platforms to manage pipelines and stakeholder engagement.
