We are currently seeking a Water Technician to join our team on a Full-Time basis.
Reporting directly to the Water Management and Environment Officer, this position would provide assistance in the maintenance of water systems and processes. This role would be extremely "hands-on", following directions and ensuring compliance with all directives.
**To be successful in this role, you will possess the following attributes**:
- Current valid drivers' licence;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to carry out a range of different tasks;
- High level of computer literacy, with experience in Word and Excel is essential;
- High level of mathematical ability;
- Previous experience with water equipment installation and operation would be highly regarded;
- Previous experience with reverse osmosis plants would be highly regarded;
- Previous experience with water pumping, storage, and infrastructure would be highly regarded;
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities would be highly regarded;
- Be able to work for extended periods of time outdoors in a physical manner;
- Be prepared to work as part of a team, but be able to work autonomously when required;
- Good inter-personal skills, able to work co-operatively with internal and external contacts;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Must be reliable, punctual and motivated;
- Good attention to detail, and
- Willingness to adhere to all health and safety, bio-security and operational requirements.
You may be required to work reasonable overtime to meet operational demands. You will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and a pre-employment functional capacity evaluation.
