About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating healthy menus and contributing to the education of children.
The role involves preparing, implementing, and evaluating the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages. You will also be responsible for bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management, and budget control.
* You should have a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
* Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements, and needs.
* Keen to participate in early educational opportunities by teaching children about healthy food and sharing in lessons and family events.
Requirements:
* Current Food Safety and Handlers Certificate.
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (desirable).
* Experience in an early childhood setting.
* Reliable transport to and from the centre.
* Current first aid certificate and resuscitation certificate.
