About the Role

Seasons Mango Hill is looking for a Clinical Care Manager, reporting to the Executive Manager Care, you will lead and manage the clinical operations of our 30-bed residential aged care facility (Care Suites), ensuring the highest standards of person-centered care for residents. Your responsibilities will include fostering a culture of clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, while overseeing all clinical matters, including adherence to the Aged Care Quality Standards and Queensland Health regulations. You will be instrumental in the recruitment, development, and retention of a highly skilled clinical team, ensuring ongoing staff training and readiness for audits and external assessments. Additionally, you will lead incident management processes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvements in care quality and safety.

Core Responsibilities

* Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the clinical team, fostering a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and high performance.
* Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for clinical staff, ensuring that the facility is consistently staffed with qualified, compassionate professionals.
* Oversee staff scheduling and workload distribution, ensuring clinical needs are met while supporting staff well-being.
* Act as the Infection Control Professional (ICP) lead for Mango Hill RAC (Care Suites), ensuring the integration of best practice care and compliance with infection control standards.
* Monitor budgetary constraints and contribute to cost-effective clinical service delivery while ensuring quality care is maintained.
* Provide after-hours leadership support as needed, including handling after-hours calls, crisis management, and ensuring continuity of care during emergencies.
* Lead the management of clinical incidents, including adverse events, complaints, and hazards, ensuring all incidents are reported, investigated, and resolved in line with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, including Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) protocols, Queensland Health regulations and lead initiatives to address non-compliance or gaps in care delivery.
* Manage the documentation processes for key reporting requirements, including ACFI (Aged Care Funding Instrument), AN-ACC (Australian National Aged Care Classification), and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for staff.
* Lead the implementation of quality improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing care delivery, resident outcomes, staff satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

* Comprehensive knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, ACFI, AN ACC, and Queensland Health regulations.
* Flexibility with hours when workload demands, across a 24/7, 365 day a year business.
* Demonstrated experience in incident management, root cause analysis, and quality improvement processes.
* Proven experience in clinical leadership and management, preferably within the aged care sector.

Requirements

* Due to the 24/7 nature of the business, it is reasonable to expect that Seasons employees may be requested to work on a public holiday. Where an employee has been allocated a public holiday to work, this is a request, not a requirement.
* Qualifications in aged care, health, community services and/or equivalent relevant experience in a role.
* Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
* Effective computer and IT skills, including Office, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams.
* Knowledge of DVA Community Nursing Program, HCP, Aged Care Quality Standards and Code of Conduct for Aged Care and Charter of Aged Care Rights (desirable).
* Unrestricted Australian working rights.
* Current national police check.
