The Opportunity
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a leading Australian veterinary and health company as General Counsel. Working closely with the CFO, Managing Director, Acquisitions Manager, and executive management team, you will provide trusted, high-level legal advice across a wide range of commercial, strategic, and operational matters. You will play a key role in shaping and enabling the company's growth, supporting business initiatives, and liaising with external legal advisers to deliver pragmatic, commercially-focused outcomes.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead legal work across but not limited to:
* Mergers & Acquisitions – from due diligence and transaction structuring to drafting SPAs and supporting post‐acquisition integration.
* Commercial & Retail Leasing – negotiating, reviewing, and managing property agreements and related risks.
* Employment & Workplace Law – providing advice on contracts, disputes, terminations, and regulatory compliance.
* Risk & Dispute Management – proactively identifying and mitigating legal risks, overseeing disputes, and coordinating external counsel.
You will have direct influence on the business, helping drive growth initiatives while shaping the legal and governance frameworks that support a fast‐moving, strategic company.

* Salary $150k + super.
About you
The ideal candidate will have:
* At least 4 years of post‐admission experience in mergers & acquisitions, leasing, and corporate governance. Candidates with more extensive experience are strongly encouraged to apply;
