We are seeking experienced and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUM) to provide operational and clinical leadership within the QEII Emergency Department. Several temporary full-time and part-time opportunities (3–6 months) are available.
About This Role
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will work in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager to lead, coordinate and deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care within a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
* Provide advanced clinical leadership and operational management to support safe, efficient and cost-effective nursing services across a 24/7 Emergency Department.
* Coordinate workforce allocation, monitor unit acuity and manage resources in line with the Business Planning Framework and clinical governance principles.
* Drive quality improvement, innovation and evidence-based practice, supporting audits, risk mitigation and continuous service enhancement.
* Mentor, coach and support nursing staff through performance development, education initiatives and succession planning.
About You
You are an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse with advanced clinical capability and a passion for leadership, quality care and workforce development.
* Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and demonstrated advanced emergency nursing expertise.
* Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively and apply critical thinking in complex, high-pressure clinical environments.
* Strong knowledge of workforce governance, safe rostering, resource management and digital health systems (ieMR/FirstNet, myHR, IWFM and incident reporting platforms).
* Committed to person-centred care, professional integrity and fostering a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture.
