Are you a
Product Senior Systems Engineer
looking for something genuinely interesting to work on? Join a global leader in mining equipment and operational technology and help shape the future of autonomous underground mining. If you enjoy solving real-world problems and want a role with long-term career potential, this one's worth a look.
What you'll be working on
You'll join a small, talented, and supportive team that's evolving a subsystem used to track underground mining assets in real time. This tech helps operators see what's happening underground, supports autonomous equipment, and flags potential hazards early — thanks to a high-precision peer-to-peer proximity detection system backed by advanced comms and tracking.
In short: the work you do helps keep people safe and operations running smoothly.
A bit about the role
You'll:
* Work closely with a small team (within a larger delivery group) to deliver subsystems and components that solve real user needs
* Gather and define subsystem, component, and interface requirements from a range of stakeholders
* Maintain traceability and run gap analyses to support risk-based decision-making
* Develop and present solution concepts and design documentation alongside hardware and software teams
* Help shape and improve internal product systems engineering processes and standards
* Support program management with documentation for reviews and approvals
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who:
* Has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Master's in Systems Engineering is a bonus)
* Has 5+ years' experience as a Product Systems Engineer using recognised methodologies (e.g., ISO 15288)
* Communicates clearly and enjoys tackling complex technical problems
* Is collaborative, organised, and confident working with different teams
* Has experience planning and delivering product systems engineering at project level
* Is comfortable with documentation and revision control tools (e.g., git, wikis)
* Has experience with MBSE tools — ideally Magic Cyber Systems Engineer / Magic System of Systems Engineer
* Knows how to build relationships and remove roadblocks to keep things moving
