About the role
We are seeking a warm, energetic and creative Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at Jemalong Residential Village in Forbes. In this rewarding role, you will support the delivery of engaging lifestyle, social and wellbeing programs that enhance the emotional, social and physical wellbeing of our residents.
Working collaboratively with the Lifestyle Team, you will help plan, deliver and evaluate individual and group activities that promote choice, connection and inclusion, in line with Catholic Healthcare's Model of Care and Lifestyle & Engagement Framework.
Your key responsibilities
* Encourage resident choice and participation in lifestyle and engagement activities
* Support the planning, delivery and monitoring of individual and group programs
* Assist with innovative events, outings and activities, including community and volunteer involvement
* Support residents during activities, including mobility, meals support and personal care when required
* Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in eCase
* Work safely and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
About you
* Certificate III or IV in Leisure & Health (or similar)
* Experience working in residential aged care (desirable)
* Warm, empathetic communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting older people
* Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues
* Strong time‐management skills and a commitment to safety, quality and dignity
