The Role
The Corporate Development team plays a critical role in financial, investment decisions and strategic initiatives across the Group.
As an Analyst, you would be responsible for providing data-driven insights and financial analysis to support strategic business decisions and optimise commercial performance across an organisation. You will also be assisting with developing, appraising and executing growth opportunities including acquisitions, project financing and assessing how different operational, investment and financial strategies will impact the Group.
Position Responsibilities
Financial Modelling & Strategic Decision Making
* Gather, manipulate, and analyse financial and operational data to build and maintain financial models and forecasts to test various scenarios.
* Evaluate the profitability of specific initiatives.
* Prepare and present detailed reports, dashboards (using tools like Power BI or Smartsheet), and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Market Analysis
* Monitor market and industry trends, competitor activity to identify commercial opportunities, risks, and provide insights for strategic planning.
Commercial Analysis and Support
* Collaborate with different teams across the organisation to gather data, understand business needs, and ensure that commercial strategies are aligned with overall objectives.
Transaction and Project Support
* Support the development of a diverse range of transactions and associated documentation.
* Assist with preparation of management and board papers and presentations.
* Undertake specific projects to support senior management.
About You
* 2 to 4 years experience in corporate finance, M&A, business analysis or transaction services.
* Business / Commerce degree or similar.
* Strong financial modelling experience.
* Ability to analyse information, understand its impact on value and assess outcomes/ "what-ifs".
* Ability to concisely communicate these outcomes both verbally and in written/presentation form.
* Report writing and MS PowerPoint Skills.
* Ability to manage different work streams to achieve an overall outcome.
* Reliable with a strong attention to detail and commercial acumen.
* A hunger to learn and develop.
* Ability to work within a team environment.
