Senior Ecologist - Environment and Sustainability Expert
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Ecologist to join our national Ecology team, providing specialist advice to balance development, impact avoidance and offsetting results that achieve the best possible environmental outcome.
As a member of our respected Ecology team, you will contribute to our reputation for ecological projects across the ACT and NSW. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Senior Ecologist, and possess sound ecological survey, reporting and assessment skills. You will have a passion for field work and a drive for delivering high quality outcomes.
About the Role
This role involves collaborating with experienced professionals to support your growth and development, as well as working on diverse and technically challenging projects across various sectors including renewables, infrastructure, sustainability and more.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Contribute to our Ecology team's expertise in field work, assessments, legislative awareness and solid reporting and project management skills
* Deliver high-quality ecological surveys, reports and assessments
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and objectives
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including clients, government agencies and fellow team members
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, botany, zoology or a related field
* At least 5 years of relevant experience in ecology and conservation biology
* Proven experience in managing medium to large-scale projects
* Demonstrated ability to collect, interpret and report ecological data
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A strong commitment to delivering high-quality work products and meeting deadlines
