We are seeking Trades Assistants to join our new Liberty Street branch in Cairns, the largest CRG centre in Far North Queensland. Become a vital part of Hastings Deering's next chapter and support the operations of our new branch. There are multiple permanent Monday to Friday positions available.
As a Trades Assistant in our new branch you will:
* Assist trades personnel with mechanical works, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and high level quality and contamination control
* Operate Overhead Gantry Crane and Forklift
* Perform general yard cleaning and wash bay duties
* Work with state-of-the-art machinery and learn from skilled technicians in the workshop

About You
A successful teammate will have:
* Previous experience in a similar TA role (desirable but not essential)
* Excellent communication skills and exceptional level of customer focus
* Overhead Crane and Forklift license is desirable
* Great time management skills
* The ability to work within a team and unsupervised
* Maintain a high level of workplace health and safety standards
