Compass Group, a global leader in providing workplace services, is currently seeking experienced chefs to join our team in the remote sector of Central Queensland. We provide vital support to major companies and organizations operating in isolated territories, from oil rigs to gold mines.
We are experiencing significant growth in this region, following an exciting new project with Anglo American. The project involves servicing villages in Middlemount, Moranbah, and Moura. As we continue to expand our operations, we require skilled professionals who can excel in bulk catering environments.
The Position
* Head Chefs: 8 days on, 6 days off (11 hour days)
* Sous Chefs: 14 days on, 7 days off (10 hour days)
* Line Chefs: 14 days on, 7 days off (10 hour days)
Chef Requirements:
* Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
* Food safety supervisory certification (desirable)
* Experience within bulk catering environments
* Excellent knowledge of kitchen procedures and operations
* Menu writing, rostering, and cost control experience
* Hygienic work practices and HACCP guidelines expertise
* Previous supervisory/management experience (essential for higher level roles)
