Project Opportunity
The CSIRO research and development group delivers innovation and solutions across the mineral resources value chain. The Sensing and Sorting program develops technology for the Australian and global mining industry, with recent advancements in X-ray technology enabling real-time monitoring of mineral slurries.
This role will contribute to future development plans and ongoing engagements involving the technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop manufacturing documentation and establish initial production channels to ensure beta manufacturability.
* Enhance technical hardware and software capabilities to improve the robustness and supportability of the MEA technology.
* Interact with end-users to address plant installation issues, troubleshoot, modify analyzers, and ensure compliance with standards.
* Strengthen team capability for supporting the MEA run-time software platform.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience in engineering.
* Instrumentation, control, and automation/software design and development skills in a prototyping environment.
* Demonstrated experience in project management, including working to timelines and utilizing systems to progress workflows.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to discuss and obtain information from manufacturers, scientists, and engineers.
* Ability to understand electrical schematics, electronic circuit function, and mechanical drawings.
* Practical, hands-on approach to solving engineering problems.
