Randstad Defence is partnering with a leading Australian defence organisation for a maritime construction & manufacturing project in South Australia. We seek an experienced Supply Chain Engineer with mechanical engineering qualifications.
The role involves supporting the maritime build program through supplier technical reviews and quality assessments. We prefer senior engineers with a background in electrical engineering, supply chain expertise, and team leadership experience.

Responsibilities
* Review engineering design requirements for naval applications.
* Understand shipbuilding codes and technical specifications.
* Identify potential suppliers to support procurement plans.
* Conduct pre-qualification reviews of manufacturers and suppliers.
* Participate in on-site supplier assessments.
* Compare international standards.
* Understand and evaluate Objective Quality Evidence (OQE).
About You
* Must be an Australian citizen with NV1 Security Clearance eligibility.
* Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
* Knowledge of systems and technologies relevant to Australian shipbuilding.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Ability to prioritize and set work standards.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience in the Defence shipbuilding industry is advantageous.
