About The Role
Are you ready to take on an exciting new role that goes beyond the ordinary? As our Headworks Engineer, you will be at the helm of ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our wastewater and water supply headworks. Reporting directly to the Manager Water Services, this role is all about teamwork and shaping the future of water management in Narrabri Shire. As our Headworks Engineer, you will:
Provide high-level support and recommendations to the Manager Water Services.Coordinate resources to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of treatment plants, water supply bores, and infrastructure.Assist with enforcement and implementation of legislation, standards, and Council policies.Ensure quality control of work conducted by the team and external contractors.Provide technical and problem-solving support for quotes and assessments for water and sewer infrastructure.

About You
The successful candidate for the Headworks Engineer will be someone who not only meets our requirements but thrives in this dynamic team-environment. Here's what we're looking for:
Strong time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.Computer literacy to utilise our various software and systems.A degree in Engineering, or a Diploma level qualification with demonstrated experience.
