The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience working in an Australian accounting environment and hold a tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce or finance. They will be proficient in MYOB and XERO and have their CA/CPA certification either completed or underway. The successful candidate will also possess excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
About this role:
* Prepare financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders
* Prepare and lodge income tax returns BAS IAS FBT returns
* Assist with Division 7A CGT FBT calculations under senior accountant supervision
* Maintain accurate client files ensuring all compliance deadlines are met
* Support preparing management reports budgets cash flow forecasts
* Liaise ATO regulatory bodies resolving queries
* Provide clients general tax business advice escalating complex matters when required
