The Coronary Care Unit (CCU) is a specialised, 8-bed facility dedicated to the care of patients—both publicly and privately funded—who require expert cardiac-related treatment.
Strategically located adjacent to our state-of-the-art Angiography Suite, the unit ensures a seamless patient journey, supported by the latest advancements in cardiac monitoring and diagnostic equipment.Designed to foster a family-friendly atmosphere, the CCU offers flexible staff rostering and promotes a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to care.
The team includes highly skilled Cardiologists, Interventionalists, and an extended network of medical professionals, including allied health practitioners, a continuum of care team, and a knowledgeable nursing and support staff.
Together, they provide comprehensive, patient-centred care that extends beyond hospitalisation, with ongoing support through cardiac rehabilitation programs after discharge.As Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and cost-effective manner.The role is offered on a Permanent Part-Time basis, working 35 hours per week.The Position:Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.Adheres to and support hospital policies, procedures and standards.Acts as the patient's advocate and protects the rights of individuals.Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.Works within the scope of nursing practice –decision making framework.Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital.Maintains and develops clinical skills to manage patient health problems.Responds appropriately to customer feedback and complaints, seeking assistance to resolve issues as requiredTo be successful in this role, you must hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring patient satisfaction.
You will possess well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills, enabling effective communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.A minimum of two years' experience in a Coronary Care Unit is essential, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
