Key Account Manager Role Summary
The position will be responsible for managing and growing the company's wine sales across key partners. This includes nurturing relationships with existing importers and trade partners, identifying new business opportunities, ensuring brand visibility, and driving sustainable growth in line with the company's objectives. The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with a deep appreciation and passion for fine wines, acting as both a strategic account manager and a brand ambassador in the country.
Account Management & Business Development
* Manage and grow relationships with existing importers, and key on/off‑trade and help them deplete,
* Identify, approach, and secure new distribution partners and business opportunities,
* Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and annual business plans in line with company objectives.
Brand Building & Representation
* Serve as the face of the brand, promoting the heritage, values, and quality of our wines,
* Organize and participate in trade fairs, wine dinners, masterclasses, and promotional events,
* Conduct product training for distributors, trade professionals, and key customers.
Sales Strategy & Execution
* Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with regional and global targets,
* Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform commercial decisions.
Financial & Operational Management
* Prepare sales forecasts, marketing budgets, and promotional plans for each customer,
* Track sales performance, analyze results, and prepare quarterly reports for the APAC Director,
* Ensure efficient budget allocation and ROI tracking for promotional activities.
About You
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills with a results‑driven mindset,
* Excellent presentation and communication abilities,
* Ability to work independently while coordinating with global team,
* Comfortable managing budgets, preparing reports, and analysing sales data.,
* Passion for fine wines and knowledge of the wine industry/culture,
* Fluent in English; knowledge of French or a local language is a plus,
* Willingness to travel extensively within the country (50‑60% travel).
* Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in wine & spirits export sales, preferably in Oceania,
* Proven track record in account management, business development, and budget planning.
Relevant Qualifications
* Bachelor of Business or Equivalent.
