What You'll Do
* Lead and manage high-performing engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled application modernisation, improve engineering maturity and enable observability solutions.
* Collaborate closely with clients to understand their challenges, co-create innovative engineered solutions, and deliver measurable business value.
* Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, cloud-native architectures, and AI / ML integration to enhance system performance and resilience.
* Oversee project delivery ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with client objectives and PwC's standards.
* Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
* Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including product managers, data scientists, and business analysts to deliver end-to-end solutions.
* Establish and enforce engineering governance, security standards, and compliance relevant to the financial services and insurance sectors.
* Stay ahead of emerging technology trends and advise clients on leveraging AI-led modernisation to remain competitive.
What We're Looking For
* A full-stack developer with 5-7 years of experience in solution architecture, engineering advisory and managing engineering teams, ideally within financial services, insurance, or similarly regulated industries.
* Proven track record leading complex application modernisation initiatives leveraging AI, cloud-native technologies, and observability frameworks.
* Strong capability to translate client business needs into technical requirements and engineering deliverables.
* Demonstrated expertise in AI / ML applications, microservices architecture, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
* Experience in stakeholder management and client-facing roles with an ability to build trust and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Skilled at mentoring, coaching, and inspiring diverse teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
* Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting software development in financial services and insurance.
* A natural collaborator who thrives in a matrix environment, balancing technical leadership with business impact.
